repurposed clothes; handmade by blithe and bliss- plaid pants into a top
These old plaid pants are very unflattering. They were probably produced in the 1980's seeing as they have front pleats and a high waist. The hem hits right above the ankle. The leg fit is tight at top them boxy at the bottom. Even as a size small, you look fat wearing these... so I decided to graduate them to the blithe and bliss "repurposed clothes program"... see below for the results!
I used half of the leg as the front of my top and found an eclectic mix of patterns and trims to add a feminine touch and bring in color. (see below)

the back is jersey knit I have had for ages, just hadn't found the right place to use it until now!- i love the retro floral design
hahaha- i know- its really hard to photograph yourself! but i wanted to show you guys how cool it looks on- the top just looks flat in the other photos... im pondering getting a mannequin or something to model the clothes for me... but for now... this is what ya get!:)
ok- be creative today and enjoy your daily ponder...
