sending you blithe and bliss: a crafty journal bday message
This week is my very special cousin's 18th birthday! I have started this little journal with her that we send back and forth with our thoughts, questions, and ponderings... it's much like email but more fun and substantially more personal. I find that actually WRITING and not just "typing or copying and pasting" is actually therapeutic. Makes me feel like I am actually saying something authentic and permanent. I have gotten more in the habit of writing 'thankyou' cards and sending out actual paper invitations even if its just a gathering of a few people because it makes the experience a bit more special and real. You know what I mean... When you get a card or package in the mail, don't you feel so special and excited? Its just so much more personal and thoughtful when a person actually took the time to come up with their own thoughts, write it down by hand, put it into an envelope and actually mail it through the REAL mail! I think that we have to really recapture and take back that personal human to human communication that seems to be a bit lost and forgotten in this open space of the internet.. Sure the internet connects us, as it is right now, but to have an actual substantial piece of hand written paper is a bit more closer to REAL communication and shows that you have time in your busy life for that person to actually use the U.S. POSTAL SERVICE!... anyways.....;) see below for my crafty journal message I will be sending my cousin!!
another good one!!
can you tell i luv quotes yet??..
I send you a bit of blithe and bliss today and enjoy your daily pondering!
