craft day happiness; oxnard strawberries.. the tray that lived two lives
As you know, the best strawberries can be found in good ole Oxnard, Ca. When I am in town I can not escape them. They are sold on about every corner, every farmers market, or random guy selling out of his truck in Ventura County. (by the way... i just realized how much i truly adore those little fruit stands along the freeyways and side roads near the fields in Oxnard... they are a true novelty and I wish Orange County offered them.. or atleast there was some sort of fruit stand/local grown produce stand on my drive from work... this place IS called ORANGE county right?...;) side note... moving on..)) So.. I just had to pick some up and savor the naturally proportioned and perfectly ripened strawberries a couple of weekends ago. After about a week of delightful strawberry snacks, I was left with three empty strawberry trays. These trays are not very friendly to the environment, I knew I had to try to figure out what new life they would lead. I have been wanting to make a bird feeder for a while now and have been waiting for inspiration to hit me.. Here it was! Three trays begging to become crafty feeders! I share with you today a bit of craft day happiness and in the end share with the fellow birds a bit of blithe and bliss!
craft away today!
