repurposed print mix crop top; handmade by blithe and bliss
this is one of my FAVORITE summer tops that I have made so far! the yellow top is cut from a thermal I got back in Ohio- i remember it was just crazy cold and i would layer it up through the winter months! being a SO CAL girl i really haven't worn it for ages... so away it went into the crafting pile!! the beaded applique trim was from one of my dresses from high school! i scavenged my old closet back home and found it in the corner! the bottom part of the top is repurposed from two tops i bought from a thrift store in Ventura... the floral fabric was part of an 80's top and skirt set.. you know those outfits where they have sleeved tops with shoulder pads and a matching elasticized skirt? well, i kept the skirt for moi and repurposed the top! i have gotten a lot of mileage out of that clothing item! the plaid fabric was a fabulous XL mens flannel! it too has gone a long way and has appeared in many of my crafts recently!:)
the fun part of making tops is going back and adding the special hand finishing details like top stitching with blue contrast yarn!

hope you were inspired and will venture into the depths of your closet and transform those forgottens into lovely beauties!
