repurposed plaid CAT tote; handmade by blithe and bliss
I am busily crafting away for my next craft fair these next weeks and months in my spare time... Here is a peak at my first completed piece!
oh rufus.. always wanting his picture taken...
pockets!... i cut the back of the tote on the side seam of a pair of forgotten pants so there would be two pockets.. the front side pocket and the back welt pocket!
do you see the old studded belt?...
the cat picture was cut from a broken old 'humane society' nylon tote that i used until the bottom fell out! I was so sad when my tote broke.. but atleast the precious kitty gets a new life with this tote!
the paisley print was a 1970's polyester mumu that i have used in many of my craft projects and tops previously and presently because there was just so much fabric in the 'one size fits all' garment and I JUST LOVE THE COLORS AND PATTERN! The woold plaid was cut from a floor length skirt from the 80's that I purchased from the salvation army months ago and I have finally found it a new perfect purpose as a tote!
so cute! I will be making a couple more bags through out the next weeks... i hope they all turn out as awesome as this one did!!
re-look at what you alread HAVE and get crafty!
